While we understand that this is an uncertain and unpredictable time, we assure you that the safety and support of clients and staff remains our top priority.
As you will be aware, the Government has announced that, by 11.59pm on Wednesday 25th March, we will have moved to a level 4 in the Covid-19 Alert System which is a nationwide lockdown. This will remain in place for a minimum of four weeks.
The actions in line with this level are:
Home HealthCare is considered an essential healthcare service. We have been requested by our funders to reduce the support that we are delivering to essential supports only. This will be done during the current week. If there are changes in the support that you currently receive, we will be in touch with you.
This means that there will be some changes to rosters for a number of Support workers.
We are continuously monitoring the circumstances and health of both our clients and Support Workers to ensure the safety of everyone across this service.
We are working closely with Ministry of Health and your District Health Board to ensure that you continue to access the support you need.
Hand washing remains the most important step in reducing the spread of infection and will protect you from a host of infections.
Wash your hands thoroughly and regularly for 20 seconds throughout the day, by using soap and water and remember to dry your hands thoroughly.
Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60-70% alcohol.
If you or your family have questions, please contact us on VisionWest Home Healthcare 0800 222 040.
